JOB SUMMARY


The Web and Graphic Designer will lead in the execution of all creative design and website aspects of our client projects. They must exhibit a significant understanding of typography, layout, website and digital applications and art direction to help the team produce the best work possible.  Excellent problem solving and communication skills are necessary, so the designer must feel confident to contribute to the entire creative process alongside a client-facing design and project team. 


RESPONSIBILITES
  • Lead the concept development and execution of print and web deliverables for design projects, including but not limited to:
    • Creating logo design and mood board concepts for clinical trials
    • Formatting and designing cohesive branded clinical trial materials:
      • Print materials such as posters, brochures, booklets, promotional items
      • Digital materials such as social media or online campaign graphics, and video storyboards
  • Planning and designing website and landing page mockups and assisting with user experience and front-end web development using CMS systems (WordPress) to design and adapt themes
  • Working with multiple project managers, marketing team members and web developers to understand clients’ needs, and execute deliverables within tight timelines 
  • Supporting web developers on all client website projects including creating mock-ups, design assets, graphics, front-end development, and testing
  • Updating and improving our client’s websites and ensure they are set up for optimal marketing and lead generation performance
  • Assisting with video production and editing with vendors
  • Actively contributing new, creative ideas that will help push our client focused design services and success forward
  • Maintain consistently high work standards and proactively learn new techniques, software, and trends in graphic design
  • Ensuring appropriate QA/QC of deliverables by following proofing processes and appropriate file organization
  • Working with printing vendors to support quoting, printing and fulfillment of design materials     
  • Maintaining and keeping an organized file system and backing up files accordingly

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or related field. 
  • 4-7 years post-college, professional experience working on marketing or design team, or within an agency is preferred
  • Mastery using Adobe Creative Cloud suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, in addition to PowerPoint/GSuite  
  • Must have a creative design portfolio that demonstrates well composed, functional visual designs for web and print 
  • Advanced knowledge of website front end design/ development including: HTML, CSS, and using CMS systems such as WordPress, user experience and web best practices
  • Ability to independently manage simultaneous client projects in an organized manner
  • Must be a fast and efficient worker and able to juggle many projects and deadlines at once with multiple clients and teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to understand and effectively deliver projects for clients
  • Able to execute content review and proofing as well as contribute to copy editing
  • Ability to work with printing vendors or support the pre-press printing set up and process
  • SEM and SEO knowledge is a plus
  • Familiarity with clinical research or medical industry is ideal, but not required

A developed skill set of the following is required, among the others:
 
  • InDesign
  • Illustrator
  • Photoshop
  • WordPress
  • CSS/HTML/CMS platforms for front end development
  • Google / Microsoft program suites

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Less than 10%  travel is required for this position.
