What You’ll Do
M2Gen is hiring a Business Development Bioinformatics Analyst to provide top-notch bioinformatic analysis and data visualization/utilization support to biopharma clients; developing scientific use-cases that demonstrate the value of M2GEN’s unique and comprehensive genomic, transcriptomic, and clinical data. Our current AVATAR offering is the leading data set of its kind, with matched tumor and germline molecular and clinical data covering tens of thousands of cancer patients. These data have been licensed by multiple large pharmaceutical and biotech companies and underpin important work in their Translational Research & Discovery/Development teams. Notably, our data informed the development path of Merck’s pembrolizumab, arguably the most successful oncology product in the world.
The Business Development Bioinformatics Analyst works at the junction between the Science and Innovation group and the Business Development team, supporting biopharma client interactions through custom bioinformatics analysis based on clients’ needs and interests. Specific duties include bringing your own expert knowledge and perspective, as well as, seeking input from biopharma clients in order to develop tailored use-cases that demonstrate the value of M2GEN’s unique data offering; generating molecular and clinical data insights for product value demonstration, marketing collateral, and new product enhancements.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate will be a respected expert in bioinformatics and cancer genomic/transcriptomic/clinical data analysis, and have experience in the oncology biopharma science setting with demonstrated interactions with internal strategy and business development units.- Track record of independent genomics, transcriptomic, and clinical oncology data analysis, data visualization, and public presentation of results/findings to experts in the field
What You Need- Masters, PhD or equivalent in bioinformatics, computational biology or other applied science with solid analytical, data visualization, and presentation skills
- 5+ years in cancer informatics research, and 2+ years supporting business development, strategy, customer-facing sales
- Extensive experience in oncology genomic, transcriptomic, clinical data analysis and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of and demonstrated use of public databases, such as: TCGA, ICGC, GTEx
- Ability to understand and appreciate needs and perspectives of internal stakeholders and internal clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, ability to collaborate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with oncology experts
- Enthusiasm for interaction with customers
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
