Role
The Azure Engineer will work closely with all areas of IT to assist in the architecture, design, and build of the cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure. The engineer needs to have the aptitude to lead the requirements gathering, analysis, design, and implementation of solutions in public and private infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Most importantly, we are looking for a hands-on engineer, who has a desire to:
1) Constantly learn more about Azure cloud solutions
2) Maintain and extend existing infrastructure and deployments
3) Work with others, including software and security engineers
Responsibilities (this is not an all-inclusive list, duties may evolve over time as business needs change)- Providing technical direction for cloud strategies
- Assisting with the design, development and/or improvement of cloud-based solutions
- Use knowledge of Azure technologies to build out, implement, and support Azure solutions
- Conduct performance analysis, troubleshoot, and remediate issues within our cloud environment
- Manage our Azure AD instance and associated identity technologies
- Manage Microsoft licensing
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure support, design and or implementation of Microsoft or similar technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a similar technical discipline is preferred
- Microsoft Azure Certifications a plus
- Working knowledge of supporting IT infrastructure technologies such as networking, storage, and security
- Office 365 and supporting technologies a plus
- Azure Platform as a Service skills a plus
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical with a problem-solving aptitude
- Proficiency in Windows and Azure Active Directory technologies
- Experience building, implementing, and supporting solutions on Azure
- Experience conducting performance analysis, troubleshooting, and remediation in a cloud environment
- Product knowledge and understanding of how to implement in Azure for technologies: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and automation
