JOB SUMMARY

**PRN with variable hours (part time to full time)


The Patient Partnership Representative supports Elligo by promoting awareness of clinical research and assists with the enrollment of patients in clinical research studies, also known as clinical trials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Company’s clinical research studies as well as the diagnoses and medical terminology that is involved in each study.
  • Responsible for understanding protocol inclusions and exclusions and a develop a comprehensive understanding of each trial being conducted
  • Establishing rapport and ensuring courteous and efficient service is provided to all patients, study participants, potential study participants, and all team members within the company
  • Responsible for overall daily recruitment activities on all assigned enrolling protocols, which includes:
  • Conducting outgoing recruitment calls and answers inbound calls
  • Conducting subject screening by identifying the patient’s diagnosis and inclusion/exclusion factors to ensure correct placement in a study
  • Review patient medical charts utilizing various EMR platforms, determine patient study eligibility criteria and prescreen patients prior to appointments
  • Matching potential participants’ needs to current studies, upcoming studies or log in database for future studies
  • Scheduling research site visits for qualified potential study participants
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the database which includes:
    • Reviewing screen sheets as they are forwarded to the sites and triaging participants into the appropriate studies
    • Maintaining the status of all subjects in the database
    • Adhere to requirements of the IRB approved protocol and maintain confidentiality, prioritize and manage work effectively and provide exceptional customer service
  • May perform other duties not specifically listed in this job description as assigned by immediate supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 Required:

  • Associate degree 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting

Preferred:

  • Experience working with EMRs Clinical research or patient recruiting experience 
  • Data entry experience

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross functional departments/groups Ability to independently and collaboratively create and manage project / study tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software (MS Office skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) 
  • Strong organization/prioritization skills for the management of multiple concurrent projects and tasks
  • Proven collaboration and consensus building skills to help move projects to completion
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines (sometimes on extremely short notice) Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
  • Recognized ability for organization and facilitations of meetings with key stakeholders
  • Established interpersonal and communication skills Aptitude to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Experience with working within a busy and fast-paced environment
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality with HIPAA guidelines, patient matters and other sensitive information
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
WORKING SCHEDULE
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
