                                                                    Cybersecurity Professional Services, Junior Analyst

Job purpose
The position of a Cybersecurity Professional Services Junior Analyst is an integral part of the Cybersecurity Department. The position overall is responsible for coordination, planning, and implementation of client security awareness training programs and periodic security progress reports. The Junior Analyst will also be expected to work with the Senior Analysts to assist on existing projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess managed client environments for indicators of concern and work with the appropriate internal resources for a resolution.
  • Generate reporting and presentations based on client environment activity.
  • Works to understand the existing Corsica Technologies' Cybersecurity offerings.
  • Meet with clients on a regular basis to review the environment status and recommend any improvements needed.
  • Able to consult on industry best practices for security awareness training.
  • Work with clients for end-to-end management of their security awareness training platform.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other members of the Cybersecurity Professional Services staff.
  • Work with other members of the Cybersecurity Professional Services staff as necessary to complete tasks as handed down by management.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

Required
  • Minimum 1-2 years in an IT-security technically focused role.
  • Must have Sec+ or better and must be able to obtain CySA+ or equivalent certification within 1 year.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general Cybersecurity best practices.

Preferred
  • Minimum 2-year degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance or equivalent.
  • Security Operations Center Technician or Analyst experience.
  • Experience on an incident response team

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
In most cases, work will be performed in a work from home environment.

Travel
Though unlikely, this position can require travel for 1-3 days at a time.

Physical Demands
  • The candidate should be able to lift 25 pounds.
  • The job will require sitting for long periods of time and may occasionally require bending, lifting, and driving.


Position Type/Expected Hours 
This is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (40 hours total) per week. A one-hour lunch break is provided. The typical shift starts at 8:00 am EST and ends at 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday.
