JOB SUMMARY  

 

The Director, Strategic Partnerships is responsible for driving the success of Elligo’s relationship with a designated strategic partner(s), as measured by performance on the success metrics mutually determined between Elligo and the strategic partner organization.  Duties include: 

  • Serve as central point of contact for internal coordination and external interface with the strategic partner 

  • Establish an appropriate and sustainable governance structure for the strategic relationship including determination of agendae, format, frequency and participants in governance meetings.  The role also plans and facilitates each governance meeting. 

  • Facilitate cross-functional and cross-organizational discussions and conduct data analysis to determine appropriate performance metrics and dashboards to reflect the goals and priorities of the partnership.   

  • Ensure that appropriate processes and accountabilities are established cross-functionally and cross-organizationally for regular reporting of performance to plan.   

  • Collect updates on performance metrics per agreed-upon cadence with action plans to address deficiencies and ideas to capitalize on areas of strength/momentum.  

  • Plan and facilitate F2F or virtual cross-organizational planning and touchbase sessions as appropriate for the partnership, incorporating broader stakeholder input to the agenda, setting clear goals, and facilitating the meetings.  Ensure all resultant action steps are agreed to, assigned and accomplished.  

  • Strategically collaborate with designated counterpart at partner organization to recommend strategic initiatives and a multi-year roadmap to advance the partnership and ensure its continued success. 

  • Represent interests and multi-year goals of strategic partnership in internal workgroups such as multi-year technology planning and execution. 

  • Establish and cultivate effective, collaborative relationships cross-functionally including (but not limited to) partners in Data Sciences, Health Care Partnerships, Decentralized Trials, Practice Success, Research Operations, Business Development and Feasibility. 

  • On a regular basis, facilitate cross-functional discussions within Elligo to continually assess and strive to improve Elligo’s performance in the partnership. 

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of how Elligo defines a successful relationship with the strategic partner, considering sponsor-oriented, site-focused, and other strategic goals that the partnership helps Elligo to achieve.   

  • Work with Marketing to appropriate promote the strategic partnership within the clinical research industry and to appropriate health care audiences.   

  • Engage in professional development to further knowledge of health care provider landscape, key industry trends and drivers, to enhance ability to engage with practices over time and continuously improve performance and effectiveness in the role. 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact within Elligo about the strategic partner organization.   

  • Engage in professional development to further knowledge of clinical research industry.   

  • Responsible for ensuring the efficient adherence to certain administrative duties, including timely completion of expense reports, use of automation tools such as CRM, detailed metric reporting and analysis, and business planning. Responsible for managing travel expenses within guidelines and budget. 

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health or equivalent required. 

  • At least seven (7) years healthcare industry and/or clinical research experience with demonstrated experience in project and/or program management.   

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing, managing to, and achieving defined performance and outcomes measures.   

  • Strong critical thinking, strategic planning, writing, organizational, collaboration, facilitation and presentation skills are “musts.”  

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate constructively internally and with external partners.  

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative and high-growth environment is a “must.”  

  • Can do attitude with a bias to thoughtful action.  

  • Ability to evaluate strategy-to-execution end-to-end, understanding company operations well enough to know the “what it will take to be successful” as part of strategic option evaluation.   

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), CRM (e.g., SalesForce), and databases. 

WORKING CONDITIONS 

 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. 

 

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 

 

Periodic overnight travel is required.
