Description
The Assistant Education Coordinator – Residents assists coordinating activities related to the family medicine residency program.  Additionally, this position will assist the Medical Education Director in planning, implementing, and coordinating day-to-day operations to ensure compliance and accreditation with Lone Star Standards and policies, and with outside agencies and partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to Medical Education Director, Faculty, and residents.
  • Assist Medical Education Director in preparation and distribution of resident contracts, program policies, program correspondence, program brochures, etc. as requested.
  • Assist Medical Education Director with accreditation as requested.
  • Assist in residency recruiting.
  • Assist Medical Education Director with preparation and coordination of schedules and evaluations.
  • Confirm resident rotation schedules.
  • Type, distribute and update call schedules.
  • Assist with new resident orientation.
  • May attend meetings and prepare meeting agendas and minutes as requested.
  • May assist in coordinating schedule of the CMO/Program Director.
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of affiliation agreements and business associate agreements for educational sites.
  • Assist with end-of-year academic/residency ceremonies.
  • Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organized manner.
  • Perform other related duties as directed within the project guidelines established.
  • Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
  • Cross-cover for Assistant Education Coordinator – Students.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in an administrative capacity is preferred.
