What you will do:   

Rumble is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to monitor and automate, as well as respond to and/or escalate any issues with our systems, capacity, and performance. 

Job Description:  

• Assisting and/or leading in the designing, analyzing, deploying, and troubleshooting of different systems 
• Maintaining services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
• Developing and setting up various automations and monitoring

• Implementing various degrees of alerting depending on the severity of issue detected.
• Working heavily with Linux operating systems and configuring/monitoring various server software which may include NGINX, PHP, SQL, OpenStack, CEPH, mail servers, and DNS.
• Working alongside both the infrastructure and engineering teams.
• Other duties, as assigned 

• 3+ years of relevant experience preforming most duties outlined above with progressive responsibility  
• 2+ years of experience programming  
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting systems. 
• Experience with Bash scripting 

• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and optimizing such environments. 
• Systematic problem-solving and effective communication skills. 

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems. 
• Experience working with Database systems, and able to perform some troubleshooting and fixing of issues  

• Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate. 

• Experience in networking ​​​​​​
• Experience designing and developing software oriented towards systems or network automation.
