For over 90 years since its establishment, First California Federal Credit Union has grown and developed into a full-service financial institution with a variety of products and services offered to its members. In an effort to better serve and support its members, First California Federal Credit Union is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic leader to help guide its team. Under the direction of the CEO, the Vice President will be responsible for the overall leadership of the credit union, implementing and achieving results consistent with the strategic direction of the credit union.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring the mission and core value of the Credit Union are put into practice.
  • Creating collaborative, member-focused teams that meet or exceed goals; embrace diversity; and are accountable for producing results.
  • Mentor and invest in developing people to create a pipeline of talent for immediate and long-term growth.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and lead the management team in planning corporate growth, developing and executing the strategic plan, and producing results.
  • Assume responsibility for developing and implementing policy, plans, and programs related to loans, investments, fiscal and control, trust, and other major function of the Credit Union.
  • Oversee relationships with investment brokers and financial institutions for buying and selling of investment securities and instruments in a manner consistent with the Investment Policy.
  • Provide leadership in key community activities including business, charitable, civic, and social organizations to maintain a proper responsible citizen stature for the Credit Union.
  • Oversee the overall strategic information technology direction of the Credit Union; ensuring control systems and areas of responsibility have in place adequate contingency plans.
             
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Equivalent to a four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA / master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ senior managerial experience in a financial institution
  • Customer service oriented; excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
