JOB TITLE: Cloud Administrator

Job Summary:
The Cloud Administrator will build/manage stable, secure cloud infrastructure/networking using cloud orchestration capabilities, scripting languages, and APIs to design, code, test, implement and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for Public Cloud. Additionally, will build/manage cloud networking capabilities, including load balancers, application firewalls, network access control lists (NACLs), security groups, and connectivity in a single cloud environment. This role requires experience with configuring common cloud services in a production environment (e.g., compute, storage, networking). The Cloud Administrator is involved in developing a short-term, operationally focused cloud vision for the Enterprise. They will execute tactical steps associated with cloud vision. This posting reflects Engineer I essential functions, qualifications, and physical requirements. The Engineer II and III roles have variable essential functions and capabilities. Competency and skill set will determine placement level within the posted job family.
Essential Functions:
  • Cloud deployment - Kubernetes, Linux, Docker, Containers, EKS
  • Manage cloud environments in line with security guidelines
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop a library of scripts to automate cloud environments.
  • Identify and generate solutions to current problems in the organization.
  • Document and present solution designs to supervisors and other members of the team.
  • Aid developers and DevOps teams with implementing automation scripts that follow the company standards.
  • Collaborating with DevOps team members as well as all of the engineering

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience working with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and related Microsoft technologies
  • Strong Linux administration experience – administration, installation, and configuration
  • Public Cloud experience – AWS and Azure
  • Strong understanding of EC2, S3, Route53, and other AWS technologies
  • Deploy, maintain, and manage production systems (Windows and Linux infrastructure) to ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security.
  • Experience with server and application monitoring – with Nagios or any other monitoring solution
  • Ensure IT security standards and remediate vulnerabilities detected within IT systems
  • Provide production support to IT business applications, working alongside application owners.
  • Experience in scripting - Windows PowerShell or Linux Shell Script, need to know how to automate manual tasks/processes
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN network infrastructure technologies

Required Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 5-7 years of Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and related Microsoft technologies
Strong Linux administration experience – administration, installation, and configuration
