Puro Gusto is the modern approach to the Italian food culture and welcomes our guests from their morning roast to their afternoon toast. We are now hiring a Front of House Shift Manager.
Responsibilities of the Front of House Shift Manager include:- Run shifts with customers at the core
- Execute the staffing plan for the day
- Run breaks as appropriate
- Perform needed food safety and quality checks
- Completes cleaning and breakdown tasks as outlined
- Maintains integrity of cash and follows all cash handling policies
- Solves problems in the moment
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating smoothly
- Adjusts to challenges
- Identifies teachable moments and provides redirection and coaching as appropriate
- Uses resources to prevent additional problems from arising
- Creates the environment
- Promotes and atmosphere if engagement and pride in creating happy memories for all partners and guests
- Encourages teamwork and motivates partners on shift to navigate change and achieve goals
- Focus the team on creating moments of connection
- Sets the tone for the shift by building rapport with partners and displaying a positive attitude
- 2-3 years of closely related management experience, working in a high-volume environment
- Comprehensive understanding of point of sale systems, coffee equipment, and food preparation
- Proficient ability to manage staff as large as 8 partners
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Requires the ability to lift and or move up to 40lbs
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Effective oral and interpersonal skills
