Position Summary
The Senior Systems Project Engineer must effectively and efficiently drive toward successful systems project integrations and professional IT Services to our valued client base. As a Tier 3 subject matter expert for IT solutions, the project engineer provides technical oversight and ensures the project team produces the best possible outcomes for our clients through proper design and implementation. The Project Engineer's deeply specialized knowledge and skills help ensure Corsica's ability to solve even the most complex issues our clients face. The expertise and guidance provided by this role are critical to winning client trust and building the long-term relationships Corsica seeks with all our clients.
Responsibilities- Serve as a Tier 3 resource and escalation point for the rest of the project team on systems projects and provide daily project status updates to Regional Project Manager.
- Conduct site surveys and interfacing with clients to assess their unique requirements and report same to the Design Engineer for project scoping.
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for end user training and onboarding tasks.
- Provide project staging of equipment and software.
- Provide mentorship and technical oversight to Project Technicians and support Project Engineers.
- Provide post-project quality assurance testing assistance and train Tier 1, 2, and 3 personnel to assume client support responsibilities.
- Maintain service software documentation and standards.
- Complete additional Integrations team tasks as assigned by Regional Project Manager.
- Stay up-to-date with technology through ongoing education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified candidates will have experience in following:- MS Azure including Azure Private Cloud Services
- Microsoft Cloud Solutions especially migration of Office 365
- 5-7 years' implementation/migration to the cloud of the following: Email, SharePoint, Intune, MFA, and DLP
- Windows Server
- Active Directory Management
- Group Policy Management
- Core networking disciplines such as DNS, DHCP
- Virtualization platforms such as Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware
- SAN / NAS
- VoIP technology and equipment
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Required:- Bachelor's Degree in any IT related field
- 5+ years of Windows Server level technology experience (Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019) as well as the Windows Server Core services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Hyper V)
- 2+ years of Microsoft Cloud Solutions/Services experience
- 2+ in MSP/MSSP environments
- 2+ years of professional experience implementing IT services
- Experience creating technical documentation
- 1+ year of Linux systems experience
- 1+ year of MAC OS experience
- Experience working with security compliance standards
- Additional Technical Certifications
Miscellaneous Position InformationSupervisory Responsibility:- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but is expected to supervise work on the primary support board to ensure alignment with Corsica processes.
- This position requires no travel.
- This is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (40 hours total) per week with a flexible schedule.
- Depending on client requirements, some projects may require:
- 24/7 “on call” availability.
- Working beyond normal work hours.
- Shifted work hours.
