Software Developer (Backend) with Azure

Seeking a software developer with 5+ years' experience developing high quality, performant backend solutions preferably in the FinTech sector. Targeted platform is Microsoft Azure with C# or Python technology stack experience. Must have experience consuming and sending messages to external APIs, including handling exceptions and latency issues. Candidate will be able to drive the design of custom solutions in the Azure platform, including data storage, batch and serverless compute services.

Key skills:
  • .NET Core/C# or Python development
  • Azure services - Azure Functions, Batch, Azure SQL or Azure Cosmos DB
  • Automated deployment using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines or equivalent products)
  • API integration (sending messages, exception handling)
Preferred skills:
  • Agile development experience (Scrum, Kanban); ability to deliver incremental, working software every 2 weeks based on agreed upon scope.
  • PDF generation tools (PyPDF, DynamicPDF)
  • Payment file processing and transformation (e.g. ACH files)
