Job Summary
This position is part of the company wide Concierge Team. As a Concierge Customer Service Agent, you will handle inbound and outbound sales calls about our River Cruises, Land and Small Ship Ocean travel products. You will be successfully closing sales by influencing customers’ travel decisions through exceptional selling skills and in-depth product knowledge, while maintaining a professional, courteous and outgoing personality. THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION.
Concierge Customer Service Agent Responsibilities


List of Responsibilities
• Answer and resolve customer concerns about reservations, travel, promotions, and the company via phone, email and chat.
• Resolve all inquiries that require research or additional information by utilizing the appropriate resources and provide timely follow up as necessary.
• Maintains a good team rapport with various departments and personnel across the company to resolve guest’s questions that arise pre, post or on-tour.
• Consistently meet or exceed expected performance and service quality goals.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented mindset throughout all interactions with guests. Remain calm and professional through difficult conversations.
• Maintain knowledge base by attending weekly training for new implementations (promotions, sales goals, procedures, accounting, and products) in order to ensure professional service to our guests.
• Identify and close sales/up-sell opportunities including travel protection, cabin upgrades, air upgrades and other tour features, through inbound calls; online chat and email,
• Other duties to be assigned or modified to meet changing business needs and requirements


Required Skills  and Experience
• Experience in a commission based role preferred
• Business to Consumer sales and service experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent problem solving skills
• Experience in travel, hospitality, concierge service, luxury brand clientele highly preferred
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced environment
• Excellent typing, phone, listening, and computer skills required
• Basic Microsoft skills including Outlook
• Reservation system experience highly preferred
• Email & Chat experience preferred
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required
Software/Systems
• Basic Microsoft skills, including Outlook
*  2+ years of Sabre required
• Reservation system experience highly preferred
