GSE Workforce Solutions, is currently working with a major client who are involved in manufacturing chemicals related to semiconductor devices, amongst others, located in the Killeen, TX. They are looking to hire an Electrical Engineer on a full-time basis, starting asap! Salary up to $90K, DOE.

Overview
As a member of the technical staff, this position will play a key role in identifying reliability improvement opportunities, leading electrical projects, reviewing electrical design for multidiscipline capital and expense projects and providing technical support in completing repairs to electrical equipment and power distribution equipment, protection system, electrically operated motors and other equipment. Interpret working drawings and blueprints for mechanical and electrical building operating systems and equipment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support to plant maintenance activities by serving as technical resource on repairs and maintenance and in providing input in decisions effecting the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment. Utilize available technologies to assess stability of operating equipment and develop an action
plan for issues identified by on-line testing. Analyze results of de-energized electrical testing to determine acceptability for placing equipment in service after maintenance and repair. Participate as Maintenance Representative on electrical projects. Participate in commissioning and testing new equipment. Participate in periodic audits of operating electrical equipment to ensure compliance with corporate and other regulatory requirements. Act as a Subject Matter Expert in electrical equipment groups such as motors, generators, switch gear, cable, UPS systems, battery systems, and high voltage systems. Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards Performs other duties as required and assigned. Must be able to troubleshoot not actually need to program the DCS.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies. Proficiency in MS Office. Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Extended hours and possible shift work are to be expected during periods of high workloads Experience in documentation and implementation of engineering project plans. Experience in working with general contractors and suppliers in Engineering projects.

Education, Experience and Certifications
B.S. in electrical engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design). Experience in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems. Experience with contractual related project/work environment, in providing engineering support to electronic maintenance and modification systems, and in establishing processes/guidelines for electric design. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance or operations preferred Experience in chemical manufacturing is preferred
