Description
The Planner is responsible for all strategic & business planning functions organization wide. This position will lead a team that collaborates cross functionally with finance, operations, and supply chain to execute the company growth strategies and plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for implementing standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
  • Develop and implement a planning process that can be applicable for all lines of business (gas distribution and internet fiber), and that maximizes automation, self-serve, and scalability.
  • Lead planning process with key stakeholders and business partners; actively participate in Sales & Operations Planning processes.
  • Collects and analyzes information used to plan and schedule construction projects.
  • Working with senior management, develop and implement appropriate value-driven KPIs for the Operations organization.
  • Generates forecasts, variance reports, and other documentation used to monitor and manage project performance.
  • Proactively communicate issues with key stakeholder and work collaboratively to determine and execute mitigation plans.
  • Research best business practices within and outside the organization to improve planning processes and tools.
  • Actively participate in developing Advanced Planning Systems requirements, RFP, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Produce and maintain “single source of truth” reports and dashboards for all Centric projects.
  • Help design and implement key workstreams in annual planning and in-year planning revisions.
  • Work with Business Development and Finance teams to ensure accuracy of economic and financial forecasts.
  • Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects and the reduction of issues due to scheduling errors.
  • Participate in budget planning process for all projects.
  • Develops workarounds and solutions to problems.
  • Responsible for ensuring that material forecasts are timely and accurate, working with the Purchasing, Inventory and Logistics staff to support operational needs.
  • Create and utilize a statistical forecast and inventory stocking targets to plan purchase to stock items.
  • Work with key stakeholders and business leaders to influence project bill of materials, timing, locations, and plans to enable cost-effective and streamlined supply chain operations.
  • Measure and improve forecast accuracy, service level, and inventory days on hand.
  • Partner closely with sourcing and other supply chain planning team members to ensure seamless inventory availability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Equivalent Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Finance / Construction Management or a related discipline or equivalent amount of relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years previous planning related experience.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering bills of material.
