JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The housekeeper supervisor manages the performance of housekeeping staff and ensures
that the facility is clean and sanitized for all.
Essential Functions

1. Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed.
2. Establishes the schedule and plans daily work assignments.
3. Trains and coaches employees in laundry, housekeeping and dry cleaning.
4. Manages customer housekeeping problems.
5. Inspects and approves staff work performance.
6. Demonstrates leadership and training to staff.
7. Communicates effectively with staff.
8. Meets goals of production.
9. Develops and trains staff on policy.
10. Orders cleaning materials and maintains budget.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role supervises the housekeeping staff.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or
airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally
exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work
environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The
employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to ¹nger, handle or feel; and reach
with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The
employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25
pounds. Speci¹c vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

2 years supervisory experience
