Job Summary:  This position will be responsible for developing and executing business development plans to drive Slide’s sales results, profitable growth and performance within the assigned region (South Carolina).  This key role works collaboratively with partners to prioritize sales initiatives, maintains market awareness and reports on trends including competitors' performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary business development and policy retention partner for a defined set of agencies/brokers within the assigned territory. • Prospect new agent relationships and grow existing relationships in the assigned territory through in-person visits, virtual meetings, phone call and electronic communication.
• Analyze sales and performance data to determine business growth potential and opportunities. • Develop, or participate with the Director of Sales in the development of the Strategic Sales Plans. • Develop and/or maintain/improve business relations with all territory partners of the Company.
• Identify training/product information needs in agencies and conduct training sessions as appropriate. • Train agents on company underwriting guidelines, procedures, programs, agent portal and rater integration. • Negotiate and monitor yearly new business commitments. • Participate in rate reviews and product development projects. • Gather competitive intelligence, analyze the Company's position and develops recommendations.
• Document agency interactions to provide an accurate snapshot of the relationship. Complete timely update of entries and reports, timely and detailed submission of regular call reports and proper documentation for agency terminations. • Report essential product information, changes, or adjustments needed to the appropriate internal partners. • Attend and participate in industry related continuing education to stay current on licensing and/or designation requirements, trends and industry changes. • Monitor and communicate the activities (such as filings and products) of the competition to appropriate internal partners. Promote the maximization of the organization's competitive position in the marketplace.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of property and casualty insurance experience (personal lines preferred).
• Working knowledge of insurance operations: claims, products and underwriting preferred.
• Active State Personal Lines Property & Casualty Licensure preferred but not required; Insurance designation/certification encouraged (CIC, CPCU, CPIA, AAI, etc.).
 
Qualifications/Skills & Competencies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and 365 products.
• Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact on a professional level with internal and external personnel.
• Results driven with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to meet goals and deadlines including working at a location remote from the Company's Corporate office (Tampa, FL).
• Comfortable interpreting and relaying statistical data and product specifications.
• Ability to prioritize, plan and organize responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and manages changing priorities effectively.
• Collaborative partner; ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Maintains the integrity of the company and products offered by complying with federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
• Significant travel within assigned geographical region including overnight stays may be required.
