Description
REQUIREMENTS
Overland Partners is looking for qualified designers who thrive in a highly creative environment. Overland describes a designer as an unlicensed graduate of architecture school, and our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience. We are seeking candidates with a master’s degree or that have completed a 5-year professional degree program in architecture or urban design.

At Overland, designers are fully integrated into project teams and will be scheduled for a variety of project tasks, ranging from conceptual design support through construction administration. Our designers will report to a project manager and will perform architectural assignments under the supervision of a licensed architect.

Designers are expected to exhibit confidence and a strong collaborative attitude. Flexibility, initiative, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude are important qualities we look for. Our goal as a firm is to unlock the embedded potential in our projects, creating catalysts for transformation for both our firm and the designer.

We expect designers to be highly proficient in the design tools necessary to communicate effectively in all project phases, including Revit, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite, as well as hand sketching and physical model building. Candidates must exhibit a strong graphic sensibility and ability to coordinate with internal and external design team members.

Qualified applicants will be evaluated on the quality of their portfolio, work experience, personal and professional references, and interviews.
