GSE Workforce solutions is currently working with a major client who are looking to hire a Turbine & Generator Repair (TGR) Projects Specialist on a long-term contract basis in the Orlando, FL geographical location starting ASAP!

  • Although the client's office is in the Orlando, FL location, this position can be worked 'Remotely'.
  • You will be working on VBA Spreadsheet development for tracking time on projects.
  • Experience in VBA and Excel is required.

SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating and tracking the day-to-day activities of TGR jobs.
Responsible for assisting business development and finance by tracking Time and labor costs on jobs and analyzing those cost to establish baselines and variances to plan.
Responsible for process turnover and revalidation to the execution team and monitoring performance during that period of the project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and maintain financial information in populated in project folders • Coordinate with Project Manager (PM) and site lead(s) to maintain the cost tracking sheets required for each service order. • Develop an excel based spreadsheet to track time spent on jobs by task in order to compile the data and develop algorithms based on tasks and type of unit. • Track individual T&L costs per job to verify all are tracking evenly and that the costs are hitting the correct Service Order. • Track transportation and tool rental charges to ensure they are accurately defined ad charged. • Monitor SMW transfer costs for accuracy and timeliness • Perform other such duties as may be required.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources. Develop ability to perform safety presentation (toolbox meeting) to field service personnel. • Able to manage workflow with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced, frugal environment with multiple stakeholders and sometimes changing priorities • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. • Contribute to building a positive team spirit. • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees. • Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Education and/or Experience:
Associates degree in a relevant field such as instructional or educational technology or Finance. 2+ years working with SAP and / or financial tracking. Proficiency with a variety of development, authoring, and content management tools.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills: VBA, database, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts, etc.
