What You’ll Be Doing
Systems integration role to ensure coordination of engineering and biochemistry elements for in-vitro diagnostic clinical chemistry systems and accessories.
- Apply analytical and experimental skills to hardware, software, reagents and consumables issues and resolve system inter-operability issues.
- Partner with product management team to define and drive system and subsystem level requirements and architectural decisions.
- Support R&D team activities related to assay optimization, fluidics development, assay integration.
- Support creation and management of Risk Analysis deliverables and system FMEAs.
- Participate in design and execution of system verification and validation activities.
- Support product launch activities internationally.
Technical Environment
DOE, Statistical Analysis, R, MathCAD, Matlab, Minitab, Instrument automation, fluidics systems, FDA, IEC, and UL standards relating to medical devices, protein chemistry, assay development, IVD, Solidworks, microparticle/material characterization, optics systems, optical modeling.
Required Skills
- *Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or in wet lab biomedical engineering role required.
- DOE, Statistical Analysis, R, Matlab, Minitab, Instrument automation, fluidics system, microparticle/material characterization, protein chemistry, assay development, IVD, Solidworks, optics systems.
- Up to 10% travel required.
- (*Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or in wet lab biomedical engineering role also acceptable.)
