Position Summary
The Director of Managed Services is to cultivate excellent Service Desk, Event Management, and Field Services teams that provide client-centered, efficient, and effective support to all Corsica clients. The incumbent will achieve this through hands-on development, coaching, and empowerment of the Managed Services staff.
Responsibilities
  • Set a standard of operating using “The Corsica Way” and continue to train and educate all employees on our company Core Values.  
  • Lead, Manage, and hold team Accountable (LMA) for IT Service and Cybersecurity service scorecard metrics.
    • Metrics will include industry standard benchmarks across service management, incident management, and service utilization categories.
  • Be the face of Managed Services to clients and ensure Managed Services management staff exceeds clients’ expectations.  
  • Effectively participate in, and when necessary, lead meetings with clients, especially to address their concerns or complaints.
  • Prepare monthly operating reports to provide detail level views and analysis into the operation of the department to the Executive Team.
  • Ensure Get Well Plans for At Risk clients are co-owned by Managed Services management staff and provide oversight and guidance.
  • Ensure that Managed Services management staff are hired on the foundation of Humble, Hungry, and Smart.
  • Lead strategic planning for Managed Services. • Partner with other technical groups and engineers as required.
  • Work with selected vendors to ensure our team has the right level of vendor support as required.
  •  Complete ongoing training as assigned and required by the company.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required:
  • 10 years of experience in IT industry with three – five years in IT Management.
  • Experience with IT Policy development and enforcement.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft operating systems to include Server and Client operating systems.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft productivity applications (MS Office).
  • Experience running, administering, and implementing a service desk, multiple work sites, and remote access services.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail.
  • Exceptional Time Management.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • ​​​Able to prioritize and multitask at a high level.
  • ​​​Knowledgeable of ITIL standards
Preferred:
  • ITIL Foundations v3 certification or higher• Six Sigma certification or similar
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Leadership & Management.
Miscellaneous Position Information
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has significant direct supervisory responsibilities.

Covid Vaccine Policy: Employees who make on-site service or sales calls in locations where state or local government(s) have mandated COVID vaccine(s) to enter a building, are required to provide proper proof of having the vaccine and booster as required by legislation.

Work Environment: In most cases, work will be performed in a climate-controlled office space.

Travel: This position requires less than 25% travel.

Position Type/Expected Hours:
  • This is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (40 hours total) per week with a flexible schedule that generally begins at 8:00 AM.
  • Depending on client requirements, some projects may require:
    • 24/7 “on call” availability.
    • Working beyond normal work hours.
