JOB SUMMARY
Elligo’s mission is to provide improved patient access to clinical trials. We do that by our technology-enabled services to help healthcare practices participate in clinical research.
The Executive Director, Business Applications is responsible for Elligo’s business applications portfolio. This portfolio is critical to enabling all Elligo service lines to accomplish our mission. It powers our tech-enabled services.
The role has people management responsibility for business analysts, product managers and application analysts/administrators. The team partners with different business unit leaders to drive process improvements and achieve goals through technology solutions. These applications support our internal teams and physician partners for the execution of clinical trials.
The Executive Director, Business Applications also includes business applications strategy, project management, business analysis, applications management, vendor management, and stakeholder satisfaction. The role is expected to be hands-on leadership. In addition to driving team results, stepping in to fill gaps in execution will be important to success. This is a critical and influential position to ensure Elligo’s applications portfolio is engineered, implemented and maintained to achieve the company mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team that is as passionate as you are about customer service, digital transformation, process innovation and technology usage to support Elligo’s mission.
- Build strong partnerships with leaders across the company to influence process innovation with technology implementation.
- Application portfolio management
- Approach the applications portfolio with an entrepreneurial mindset and be passionate about enabling innovation through a best-in-class portfolio.
- Assess business needs, perform business analysis and recommend technology solutions in conjunction with Product Management and applications team.
- Ensure exceptional business analysis and process engineering for technology projects and align technology configuration to achieve stated objectives.
- Project and process management
- Manage key projects including creating/managing timelines, budgets and scope. Lead project teams to successful project completion.
- Implement, maintain and continually improve processes relating to business analysis, computer systems validation, project management, systems configuration, acceptance testing, training and support.
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 10+ years of technology, project management, applications management and/or other related technology leadership experience.
- Proven track record of business partnership and technology alignment.
- Experience leading a team that performs analysis exercises to drive requirements and solution identification across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to own, manage and provide expertise across multiple diverse business applications and system configurations.
- Excellent communication skills across all mediums (visual, written, verbal) that bolster your decisions with focus and brevity.
- A service and solutions mindset including out-of-box thinking.
- A leader that can inspire others to use technology in innovative ways to achieve the company mission.
- Clinical research or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
- Exposure to Salesforce, Oracle NetSuite, or similar CRM/ERP systems is preferred but not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Little travel is required for this position.
