JOB SUMMARY


The role will oversee the end-to-end sales responsibilities and activities for potential clinical research site clients. This includes the identification of new potential clients through outbound sales tactics, qualification of inbound leads, education of potential clients on Elligo’s site services via presentations, development and delivery of proposals to potential clients, and handoff of newly signed clients to operations for onboarding.

RESPONSIBILITES
Sales Process & Client Responsibilities
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of all Elligo site services, tactics and overall strategies.
  • Prospecting new potential client candidates, through call and email outreach, that meet the criteria and descriptions of research institutions provided by management.
    • New company outreach that is assigned and management of the day to day task list in Salesforce.
    • Meeting or exceeding weekly quota for number of outbound calls and emails to clinical research institutions
  • Oversee the customization of all site focused presentations and conduct these in front of new site clients.
    • Lead any strategy meetings with appropriate internal team members to ensure best strategies are pushed forward to potential new site clients.
  • Manage the creation of all site project proposals, and following the appropriate proofing and approval processes for finalization.
    • Ensure proposals are customized to all necessary aspects of status based on our strategy.
    • Execute the delivery of all project proposals and budgets to potential clients.
  • Responsible for the education and transition of landed new clients to the appropriate project manager / project team / coordinator to ensure a smooth transition to the new team managing the client.
  • Meeting or exceeding established quarterly and annual quota.
  • Ensure that a high level of customer service is being provided to all potential and current clients through high levels and accuracy of communications (Follow-up emails after conference calls, updating internal team members, etc.)
  • Ensure Salesforce records such as tasks, leads, and opportunities are updated in real-time with complete notes and dates.
  • Assist in the preparation and attendance of specific clinical research institution focused conferences.
Departmental Responsibilities
This role will work closely with the Director of Business Development and Elligo leadership in a variety of capacities focused on optimizing sales strategy, client delivery, and internal processes. Duties include:
  • Working with the Director of Business Development, VP, and Owners to build new strategies and assess strategies currently in use for relationship development for new site clients.
  • Provide weekly reports to the Director of Business Development, VP, and Owners regarding task list productivity, phone outreach, proposal status updates, and others dependent upon the current business development projects.
  • Assist in the training of new team members in site sales as well as data input and organization when needed.
  • Serves as an extension of the client team in order to successfully spearhead the completion of internal deliverables in accordance with project timelines.
  • Identification of processes and systems that can be more effectively utilized or altered for higher efficiency and development of proposed alterations for effective resolution
  • Lead any internal guidance document creation and revision as needed in department


QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ professional experience. Experience in sales, relationship management and/or business development is preferred
  • Ability to meet individual goals while working in a team environment
  • Able to demonstrate time management and organizational skills with a sharp focus on deadlines
  • Strong writing skills, excellent phone presence, and oral communication ability
  • Ability to build relationships and to communicate at senior management level
  • Ability to influence and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, clients and customers
  • Team-minded with willingness to jump in when needed no matter the level of the task
  • Experience in managing multi-channel sales activities and ability to thrive within a fast-paced and dynamic company 
  • Experience with Salesforce or other similar CRM strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with the clinical research industry is a plus


WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Moderate (10-25%) travel is required for this position.
