Position Summary

The Marketing Development Representative (MDR) will be Corsica Technologies’ inbound marketing concierge, managing inbound marketing leads, qualifying sales leads, and performing extensive research to prepare the sales team for client engagement. The focus is on research and qualification, and not on selling or calling. A successful MDR will be able to identify potential prospective Corsica clients by understanding and further defining our ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) and using this knowledge to score leads and drive them into appropriate channels. The ideal candidate should have an interest/background in technology, strong communication skills, is a self-starter, organized, and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ongoing market research on Intents, Leads, and MQLs to qualify Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) criteria
  • Perform lead scoring on inbound leads and redirect next-stage activity and assignment, as appropriate
  • Collaborate with Marketing Automation Manager to direct leads to appropriate nurture campaigns and marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to provide feedback on needed content, commonly heard objections, and other information valuable to the content marketing strategy
  • Collect verticalized and industry-specific information to further define micro ICPs and micro verticals
  • Monitor and manage inbound leads from vendors and determine performance ROI.
  • Perform pre-sales research to provide sales team with background for calls.
  • Collaborate with Sales team on pre-sales call prep.
  • Data analytics and tracking, including a weekly report on prospect pipeline statistics, activities, and trends.
  • Special projects as required (e.g., sub-vertical customer insights)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

  • High energy level, attention to detail, well-organized, positive team player, multi-tasker.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in the Technology Market.
  • Prior experience working with CRM and Marketing Automation Systems, HubSpot.
  • Prior experience working with tools like ZoomInfo, Chorus.ai, and LinkedIn.
  • ​​Prior experience with inbound lead management systems such as chat, content syndication applications, etc.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Marketing Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, in a marketing or sales-driven organization.

Miscellaneous Position Information

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Covid Vaccine: Employees who make on-site service or sales calls in locations where state or local government(s) have mandated COVID vaccine(s) to enter a building, are required to provide proper proof of having the vaccine and booster as required by legislation.
Travel: This position requires no travel.
Position Type/Expected Hours: This is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (40 hours total) per week with a flexible schedule that generally begins at 8:00 AM.
