Description
The Network Manager (Server/Compute) will ensure smooth delivery and operations of IT services by monitoring systems performance. The Network Manager will support both an on premise and cloud services which includes but is not limited to Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, etc. The Network Manager will provide support for the Centric Infrastructure Group during all core business hours and 24/7 support. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage and administer servers, storage, and backups on premise for the local network.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Install and maintain servers; both internal (virtual & physical) and cloud, workstations, cabling, peripherals and other network and communications hardware, as needed. 
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve operating system and networking problems.
  3. Ensure the integrity and security of data, network access and backup systems.
  4. Consult stakeholders to identify business and technology needs by optimizing the use of IT to ensure company performance and efficiency.
  5. Recommend processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems. Design, implementation, and support for clustered VMWare ESXi6+ environments with full functionality with 8+ servers and 100+ hosts.
  6. Strong background in server management and software installations and upgrades.
  7. Server design, implementation and support for MS and Linux based servers.
  8. Responsible for business-critical backup schedule and off-site data retention.
  9. Ensure effective monitoring of all Systems and Network Infrastructure components.
  10. Establish, maintain, and report on service level agreements for infrastructure services.
  11. Configuration management; Fault management; and capacity management of the Systems and Network Infrastructure services.
  12. Assesses the need for new equipment and software.
  13. Adherence to latest software and hardware patches and fixes.
  14. Identify the appropriate tools and processes to enhance efficiencies in the day-to-day network operations, always maintaining high availability.
  15. Responsible for managing and overseeing the operational support within the Data Center and DR team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:
  • Associates Degree
  • Proven work experience as an IT Systems Administrator or relevant experience
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience managing and leading teams providing operational support to the Data Centers, Network Operations Center (NOC), and Disaster Recovery (DR) team.
  • Five (5) years’ experience deploying/configuring servers and workloads within Microsoft Azure Commercial Cloud.
  • 5+ years of experience with traditional data center technologies like Active Directory, Windows Server and networks.
    • Systems Administration experience with VMware VCF (v4.0 or above)
    • Systems Administration experience with ESXi (VSphere v6.7 or above)
    • Experience with converged/hyperconverged server environments
    • Experience with NAS/SAN administration
    • Experience with NSX-T administration.
  • Must possess excellent knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Access

  • Experience with various network hardware systems such as but not limited to Cisco Switches, ProCurve, FortiGate
  • Experience with various Enterprise level server hardware such as but not limited to Dell PowerEdge servers, HP ProLiant Blade servers, Cisco UCS servers, etc.
