This position will work closely with a growing senior living community in Greenville, South Carolina.  This is a brand new community in the area.  The new Housekeeper will be hired in July 2022, and will grow the community in the following months to their new senior residents.  See details below to find out more about this exciting opportunity! 

Summary:  The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the facility, property grounds and curb appeal, while providing excellent resident relations of The Aspens Verdae.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Leads the housekeeping efforts on property

  2. Responsible for overseeing interior building cleanliness 

  3. Effectively communicates with residents and employees 

  4. Ensures model and vacant units are in appropriate conditions for prospect viewing

  5. Inspects work performed to ensure quality and safety standards are met

  6. Preserves the safety and health of our residents by assuring compliance with state regulations and company policies in all areas of responsibility

  7. Dedicated to meeting company standards and goals, open to feedback and review

  8. An exceptional ability to form relationships with staff, residents, and their families to grow resident satisfaction and occupancy and cater to resident needs

  9. Works closely with all departments

  10. Possesses an inherent desire to help others and make a difference in the lives of the people they encounter every day

  11. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or needed for business continuity


Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
1 year experience in a housekeeper role in Senior Living Communities or multifamily residential housing environments. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, or governmental regulations.  Ability to interpret business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of residents and the public.

Math Ability:
None.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
None.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. 

Work Environment:
The individual in this role will work in an operations environment most of the time and regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this role. The individual will also frequently be required to walk and stand throughout the residential community, greeting and speaking with residents, employees, and vendors daily. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job, which includes performing the hand-on cleaning of the property.
