The gig in short:
As a Director of Product, you will be responsible for driving large-scale cross-functional product initiatives, including defining the strategy and leading the execution across multiple teams at ENTRE.  Always looking forward, you will proactively identify the needs of both the market and our students to build and maintain a portfolio of products that meet and beat industry norms.  Supported by the C-Suite, other departmental stakeholders, and your team of Product Managers and Program Owners, you’ll identify, attract, lead, and grow a team of leaders. 

Your relentless focus on quality and systems will ensure ENTRE’s products not only sell, but deliver on our promise.

What we want you to do:
  • Ownership of new and or existing portfolio of products. Responsible for overall portfolio performance, balancing both market needs and student-outcomes
  • Lead multiple product teams through the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products
  • Understand ENTRE’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry
  • Ability to identify, and attract top product talent in multiple industries and domains - building and developing a talented, diverse, equitable, and inclusive team of product managers and program owners
  • Develop and manage performance-based incentive structures for Program Owners and other key talent
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Aggregate CSAT and student story feedback, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
 
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals
  • Manage department budgets and necessary reporting
  • Work closely with Business Unit Leaders to implement and champion process improvements that increase productivity, profitability, and product lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain a business model and product pricing that optimizes financial goals
  • Develop high-level requirements and buy/build/partner decisions for roadmap concepts
  • Resource Management and Prioritization: Advise on size and scope of projects to set a roadmap with key stakeholders. Strategically assign resources to projects and ensure full utilization of resources. Anticipate needs and advocate for required resources



 

What we are looking for and what you must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Business Management or similar field, or 5+ years of previous experience in product development and management
  • 3+ years of experience in a Director-level role with a minimum budget of $5M+ annually and at least 10+ direct reports
  • Demonstrable track record of developing products from market research, ideation, development, and launch
  • Excellent negotiator with the ability to land top talent in win-win deals
  • Experience building and managing performance-based compensation structures
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with experience in relationship management and can craft clear requirements, expertly communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Product Disposition - strong intellectual curiosity to understand products, how they work, and how they solve student problems
  • Commercial fluency - comfortable with financials, monetization strategy, and business case development to achieve financial goals
  • Have a general understanding or be willing to learn our Tech Stack including Slack, ClickUp, G-Suite, and our custom CRM/LMS.
  • Excellent leadership and mentorship skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Must be a self-starter who will own the role
  • Experience in for-profit education, curriculum design, SAAS, and/or direct response marketing is preferred
