Job Summary
We are now hiring Cruise Directors and Program managers for our North America Cruises aboard Ocean Explorer: cruises on the Great Lakes, and on East Coast between Montréal to Nassau.

List of Responsibilities
  • Ownership of product delivery and customer satisfaction for the entire program to achieve set quality goals;
  • Primary holder of relationship with cruise and ground staff to ensure program itineraries are adhered to;
  • Deliver all briefings, communicating a range of information on itineraries, destinations and culture; inform guests on any changes confidently;
  • Making sure all travel arrangements run according to plan and that accommodation, meals and service are reconfirmed and satisfactory;
  • Acts as a liaison with local vendors and crew, communicates issues with regional offices;
  • Accompany guests on all excursions as the company representative;
  • Coordinate all transportation logistics with transfer companies to ensure timely and smooth service;
  • Organising excursions & tours as well as other activities;
  • Using professional knowledge to answer questions from guests and to fulfil their expectations of the tour. Respond and accommodate guest requests, including highly personalized ones such as kayaking, golf or transportation arrangements;
  • Dealing with unforeseen emergencies, e.g. flight delays, weather conditions; resolving any customer emergencies, such as sorting out onsite conflicts or helping a customers who are ill.
  • Onsite sales of future travel packages;
  • Writing reports and maintaining records; provide feedback to office
  • As the public face of the company, the CD and PM must create an excellent first impression and continue to provide outstanding customer service to clients throughout the duration of their stay.

Required Skills  and Experience
  • 3+ years experience leading groups as a tour director on ocean vessels
  • Intimate knowledge of and/or experience working in the region you are applying for.
  • Relates well with American travelers of age 50+
  • Ability to create a fun environment to build a cohesive team of travelers and creaging a learning experience in the region;
  • Teamplayer
  • Must be fit and active, in excellent shape in body & mind to be able to lead our programs
  • A good listener with the ability to handle passenger questions, comments, and complaints in a diplomatic, patient and caring way.
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Highly organized and able to fulfill duties at a high level and on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Proficient computer (MS word & excel) and telephone skills
