Each position contributes to the success of the company through accountability, responsiveness, and a solutions-oriented mindset. The Applications Technician will be responsible for post–production machine testing, onsite installations, and new applications testing. Additional responsibilities include tooling development, customer technical support, and manual writing. The Applications Technician serves both internal and external customers, ensuring that our machines meet specifications and are delivered to the customer in a thorough and professional manner.

JOB DUTIES

Essential Job Functions:

• Diagnosing/testing machines for application readiness and quality
• Machine installation and training at customer facility. (Domestic and Int’l travel)
• Report machine recommendations to fulfill Sales quotes, based on customer requirements
• Develop tooling for customer orders of standard machines, based on material specs
• Update technical documents for accurate records of machines
• Act as technical support resource for Customer Service and Contract Service departments
• Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments
• Develops and maintains written process reports, defining the parameters, tooling, and other needs customers will reference in running the machine
• Perform all other duties as needed to assist the company in attaining its objectives

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position may require lifting, squatting, moving, in addition to use of fine motor skills for the assembly of various machine parts and machinery.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a professional who delivers effective results, meets deadlines, and completes projects which align with company objectives. The successful candidate would possess a combination of work experience and education to include the following:

EXPERIENCE – 3-5 Years related work experience preferred. Experience can be substituted with a related degree and internship experience.

Verification of most recent pay will be a condition of employment. Candidates will be expected to provide most current paystub.

EDUCATION – Bachelors of Engineering (EE or ME) preferred. An AA degree or related technical achievement will be considered when accompanied by relevant work experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will require the ability to work under pressing conditions with a professional and responsive demeanor. Must have a CAN DO attitude to drive projects through to completion, displaying the ability to obtain results through an influential demeanor. In addition, the position requires:

Moderate travel to customer sites with varying work environments

Valid U.S. Passport for travel

Work in varying environments and conditions, primarily in an controlled environment
