The Financial Analyst, FP&A position presents an exciting opportunity to play an essential role in the success of our business by ensuring that we are in good financial shape. You will work closely with the FP&A Manager and the CFO to inform decision-making around capital spending, operating budgets, and long-term planning. You will be the second member of a growing finance team. If you are a strategic thinker who can work with limited supervision in a fast-paced work environment this role would be a perfect match for you.

What we want you to do:

• Update the company’s financial model with actuals on a monthly basis

• Track KPI metrics and update KPI reports on a weekly basis

• Analyze historical data, perform variance analysis, and identify trends

• Update the 13-week cash forecast model

• Provide support in the budget process, forecast process, and board deck presentation

• Liaise with Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and Student Success & Product Depts, to gather data and key insights

• Ad hoc projects as needed  

What we are looking for and what you have to have:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics plus 2-3 years of experience working in Finance or Accounting

  • Or a Master’s with 1 year of experience

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel 

• Ability to work with a large amount of [customer, sales, or finance] data

• Comfortable with Accounting Fundamentals and GAAP 

• Experience creating and maintaining an Integrated 3 Statement Model 

• Experience performing Variance Analysis and providing key insights

• Ability to solve ambiguous problems and leverage business acumen

• Ability to communicate results and analyses in a clear and concise manner 

Desired

• Experience building board decks using PowerPoint

• Experience designing compelling dashboards

• Experience working with QuickBooks, Tableau, PowerBI, Oracle, and Chargebee
