Finisher/Sewing-2nd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY/OBEJECTIVE:

Hours at 2:30PM-11PM

Please come to our office from 10AM to 12Noon or 1PM to 3PM to Interview Monday through Friday
We are located at 16761 Hale Ave, Irvine, CA  92606

Employees who receive printed merchandise and stage, trim, sew, apply hardware to the merchandise are responsible for measuring each piece of merchandise in a Work Order and assure that the printing has created exactly what the client wanted, using all the lasers found in the job jacket. Then Finishing will lay out the merchandise and check dimensions to make sure that the job is properly sized. If not, they will go to the Finishing Lead to discuss solutions. When dimensions are correct the sewing of pole pockets or seams is completed. Hardware such as grommets is added according to the Finishing Form as well as the Work Order Finishing Instruction. Finishing must complete their work then move the merchandise to the next stage in the computer system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Measure merchandise and compare to Work Order specifications
  • Standard & Overlap Machine, big banner, prepare for whole job.
  • Knowing how to read measurements, inches and convert inches to decimals
  • Follow Finishing Instructions on Work Order and make sure that merchandise meets client's expectations
  • Sew or weld edges and/or pole pockets according to Work Order specifications if necessary
  • Build and Assemble frames to specifications when needed
  • Apply grommets according to Work Order specifications if necessary
  • Measure again to make sure Finishing job has not changed size of merchandise
  • Move the Work Order in stage management using the computer database
  • Check that all information regarding Work Order/merchandise is correct before accepting job, perform Finishing duties perfectly and check that all information is correct regarding Work Order/merchandise before giving the job to the next stage of Production
  • Expanding your skills and knowledge of processes by cross training and Identifying the major tasks and skills in your specific area if the organization, so that you may support other areas/positions when needed.

Pay Range
$18.00   Hourly to $20.00   Hourly
