THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION
Job Responsibilities and Duties- Dismantle tractors and disassemble parts and units to repair and diagnose cause of malfunction or defect.
- Work from engineering specifications, modifications, cards, charts, diagrams, manuals, and inspection reports.
- Repairs consist mainly of internal defects which would involve splitting tractor in order to repair engine, transmission, hydraulics, power steering, electrical units, and air conditioners, etc.
- Perform basic type welding which would consist mainly of adding weld or patch welding in which no fixture or critical dimensions are needed.
- Check and fill fluids such as oil, fuel, etc., to prescribed levels.
- Test completed tractor to check operating characteristic and adhere to engineering standards to check effectiveness of adjustments, repair, and replacement parts.
- Direct and instruct as necessary, when other personnel are assigned to assist on major modifications, repairs, or replacement.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
- Produce quality work that demonstrates pride of workmanship.
- Maintain your assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
- Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.
- Perform other related or similar duties as required.
- Maintain all safety standards.
