OFFICIAL TITLE: Payments Services Coordinator

Salary: $23.00/Hour + Comprehensible benefit package (please see below for full benefits offered details).

Work location: Administrative Offices - Mid Wilshire, Los Angeles

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
                  Hybrid Schedule – 2 days onsite/3 days remote!
                  Occasional weekends or evenings.

Primary duties: Assist in developing and implementing departmental procedures. Review and audit staff’s completed payments. Assist Manager with the direction and guidance of the Payment Services staff.  Process calculations for the Stage 1 Child Care Subsidy program. Assist with processing attendance records.  

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing departmental procedures.
  • Maintain working knowledge of software, reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Review and audit staff’s completed payments.
  • Responsible for the calculations of Child Care Subsidy Stage 1 program payments.
  • Provide detailed payment reviews to Child Care Subsidy program auditors, and/or child care providers as requested.
  • Maintains awareness and communicates with the department manager of potential issues or conflicts, that may develop.
  • Must maintain current knowledge of RMR, Payment Rules, Payment Regulations and timelines.
  • Assist with the processing and approving of payments.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of invoicing requirements for the department.
  • Assist with the organization and distribution of work to department staff.
  • Generate reports as needed.
  • Assist Manager and Directors with projects and planning as needed. 
  • Assist in new staff training as needed.
  • Respond to Customer Care needs. 
  • Conduct Follow up phone calls to providers for corrections on their attendance sheet
  • Maintain a filing system for rejected attendance sheets
  • Provide CCM training for child care providers
  • Responsible for reviewing payment adjustments
  • Assist with walk-ins/escalated PV
  • ​​​​​​Other duties assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Accounting or related field; and/or 2 years of experience Bookkeeping/accounting background.
Supervisory experience preferred.  
Minimum two years previous experience in office administration or related fields.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 
Strong Customer Service skills.
Ability to work effectively with people from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds.
High level of oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Windows based programs and data entry experience
Competency with written and spoken English

COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES:

Vacation & Sick Time

· 10 days of Vacation per year for the first 2 years of service. Accrual at start.

· 10 Sick Days per year. Accrual at start.

· 18 Paid Hours early release – no waiting period.
