Reports to: Assistant Controller  

Overview:
The Staff Accountant II’s main priorities are general ledger reconciliations, month-end close entries, financial statement preparation, bank reconciliations, and assisting in AR and AP. In addition, this position will be engaged in various financial analyses.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain financial records and ensure financial transaction are properly recorded
  • Prepare month end closing entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare month-end actual to budget variance analysis
  • Reconcile month-end inventory and investigate and resolve variances timely
  • Assist in month end financial statement preparation
  • Assist in sales tax reconciliations and serve as backup when needed
  • Review weekly check run for expense coding and proper documentation
  • Prepare monthly use tax reconciliations and filings as needed
  • Reconcile all domestic and foreign bank accounts
  • Ability to perform all AP and AR functions during peak or staff vacations
  • Responsible for set up of all bank transfers, ACH’s, and wires
  • Assist with internal control evaluations and process improvement documentation
  • Perform system testing for implementations or changes effecting NetSuite
  • Prepare audit requests from external auditors
  • Resource to team members on GAAP / best practices questions

Qualifications:
 
  • 3-5 years’ accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • E-Commerce / Retail accounting experience a plus
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and/or remotely in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of billing and collections standard operating procedures and best practices
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail, motivated, able to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to work as a team member, interact with all levels of employees throughout the organization
  • Experience working in a remote environment a plus
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and NetSuite, preferred
  • Must exhibit a passion for the company’s vision, culture and socially responsible practices

Pay Range
$56,000.00   Annually to $65,000.00   Annually
