Job Summary
Directs the design, product development and purchasing of the organization’s ground services for our global deployments on small ship expedition vessels; oversees contract negotiations and the development of new vendor relationships.


List of Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Responsible for P&L for cruise products
  2. To work with the EVP Worldwide Operations and product team in planning and executing road trips and buying goals in order to develop products in a timely and competitive manner. 
  3. Monitor, analyze and action on a weekly basis the following reports:
  • 2023, 2024 contract status report
  • Product training calendar
  • Quality report
  • Top 20 vendors
  1. Selection of Product in conjunction with the EVP .
  2. Directs the development of product strategy documents for all products.
  3. Designs the Day-by-Day itineraries of specific destinations; ensure accuracy of pacing. 
  4. Contract and negotiate all Hotel and Ground contracts for charter related deals.  Schedule and complete all road trips to secure completed, signed contracts covering the entire year and whenever possible 2 to 3 year contracts.  As best possible all space addendums should be completed at time of signing.  Wait listed space is allowed but only with alternate space secured at time of contracting.
  5. Final Costing sign off.  Work with team and costing members to prepare all estimates needed for Costing turnovers.  Sign off final costing.
  6. Creative Turnover.  Supply all information needed per the Creative turnover checklist.
  7. Proof product and marketing related information on all promotional materials.
  8. Product presentations to the Company with particular emphasis on Sales, Reservations and Customer Service when in house.
  9. Communicate with VP and customer service manager and team leaders for all Quality issues regarding the product and complete necessary changes.
  10. Attend and participate in required meetings.
  11. Establishes and implements mid and long range strategies and plans for the development and marketing of new products.
