What We Are Looking For
The Client Development Manager of Overland Partners will enjoy working with diverse stakeholders, have a passion for storytelling, the strategic acumen to guide business development and marketing efforts and the tactical leadership skills to manage a variety of time-sensitive marketing requests simultaneously. A strong marketing communications background with experience in managing a team in the A/E/C industry is essential for success.  With guidance from the VP of Marketing & Brand Strategy, he/she will lead the day-to-day operations within the department, including overseeing social media, website, project narratives, and the initial writing and maintenance of proposals, presentations, and other collateral, along with database/information management, and prioritization and allocation of work and staff.  Our ideal candidate will also be a thoughtful mentor, able to train junior team members in best practices while inspiring them to be proactive in their own professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains consistency of marketing deliverables in alignment with firm branding. Helps others learn Overland’s brand standards.
  • Leads  or oversees Overland’s communication efforts through the writing, editing and placement of information via website, social media, project narratives, and press releases.
  • Develops, writes, and coordinates production of collateral material development, marketing programs/campaigns, and market research activities.
  • Oversees active upkeep and use of marketing files and CRM database including projects, proposals, interview materials, images, resumes, project data sheets, and consultant lists.
  • Assists the VP of Marketing & Brand Strategy to coordinate the go/no-go decision-making process and provides overviews of opportunities.
  • Coordinates awards submittals—tracks schedule and processes and assists with in-house submittal efforts.
  • Identifies opportunities for lectures and speaking engagements to bolster Overland brand visibility and thought leadership positioning; collaborates with internal team members on presentations and preparations for lectures and speaking engagements
  • As needed, helps to facilitate proposal kick-off meetings, and develops outline of assignments with internal project team (Principal, Architects, Project Managers).
  • Assist with pursuit planning and the proposal and interview preparation processes.
  • Supervises, trains, mentors, and provides input to reviews for marketing team members by providing constructive and timely feedback. Helps VP of Marketing & Brand Strategy to level workload of the marketing group.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field of study.
  • 7+ years of professional experience of relevant business development or sales support, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, & Construction (A/E/C) industry.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Creative mindset with passion and drive to foster innovation in marketing and communications.
  • Able to manage creative teams and give strategic direction to plan and deliver effective integrated marketing initiatives that advance Overland’s brand in the market.
  • Experience writing/editing content in the A/E/C industry highly preferred.
  • Create and implement social and digital plans for campaigns and activations.
  • Ability to organize and lead others; drives results by planning, prioritizing, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to think strategically and iteratively in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • High level of comfort working with virtual teams.
  • Capture results and conduct metrics and ROI analysis to measure success and inform messaging and marketing campaign development.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign.
