Maintenance Assistant - Retirement Community

Job Summary:

Arcadia at Limerick Pointe is growing! We are looking for someone who enjoys working with seniors in a beautiful, state of the art building. Built in 2021, Arcadia is a four story 160 bed community who is looking to add the right person to our team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the maintenance team with all aspects of upkeep, repairs, cleanliness, and the aesthetics of community.
• Apt. flips which include touch up painting, minor repair work and deep cleaning of apartments for resale.

• Assists in the execution of the preventative maintenance program.

• Performs carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.

• Assists in maintenance of the environment both internal and external areas. grounds.

• Assists with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures.
• Comfortable with using a work order system, communication using two-way devices, and interacting with other departments through the shift.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Has strong communication and customer service skills
• Interacts with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Responds promptly to resident needs.
• Supports organization's goals and values.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Enjoy working with senior population

Experience: Maintenance or any skilled service trade - 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
