Essential Job Functions:
 
  • Oversees all aspects of CATHTIP production planning process including preparing production schedules for Machine Shop and Assembly.
  • Ensures each manufacturing operation meets completion dates according to sales forecasts and customer orders.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
  • Plans and schedules workloads through work centers.
  • Monitors and analyzes all set routing for sequence of assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations, assessing accuracy.
  • Determines status of assigned projects, expedites operations that delay schedules, and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Prepares and presents Production output reports in weekly Production Meetings.
  • Analyzes and interprets construction bills of material, scopes, and specifications, etc. to determine the content and plan manageable work elements.
  • Ensures all parties are fully cognizant of production status and work planning and execution objectives are integrated and communicated.
  • Analyzes requests for maintenance/repair services and determines the validity, content, and scope of requested work.
  • Posts materials and closes jobs.
  • Meets bi-weekly with sales manager to discuss upcoming machine sales and plant stock manufacturing orders.
  • Daily evaluation and release of planned orders, checking BOMs for accuracy/ availability prior to release, checking and adjusting capacity constraints and communicating potential bottlenecks.
  • Perform all other duties as needed to assist the company in attaining its objectives.

SKILLS
 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to convey and receive information, utilizing interpersonal skills to get buy-in from all parties.
  • Computer literacy, displaying ability to learn new systems and proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Experience implementing and/or working with ERP systems strongly preferred.
  • Analytical thinking and systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Strong attention to details with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and thoroughness.
  • Ability to read schematic, technical, and assembly drawings.
  • Will be confident and proactive in communication with others regularly as needed to be successful in the role. Will include moderate, daily interactions.
  • Able to function in a dynamic, fast paced, environment
QUALIFICATIONS
  • EXPERIENCE – 1-3 Years related work experience preferred. Partial experience requirement can be substituted with a related degree
  • EDUCATION – AA or BS in related field of study is preferred. Experience can be substituted for education requirement.
This position will require the ability to work under pressing conditions in a professional and responsive manner. Must have a CAN DO attitude to drive projects through to completion, displaying the ability to obtain results through an influential demeanor. In addition, the position requires:
  • Primarily work in a controlled office environment
  • May require working in the Production and Machine Shop which are manufacturing environments with some mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards. Employee should take care to learn about these hazards and how to stay safe
