The Service Line Crew is responsible for participating in all natural gas service and mainline construction activity. The Crew will assist the Crew Foreman in the maintenance and repair of all Company equipment and property.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Assesses assembly diagrams to lay out work for pipe products.
- Measures and cuts pipe to length on pipe-cutting machine.
- Bends pipe around blocks and forms to shape it according to specification.
- Loads and unloads racks, baskets, skids, dollies, and conveyors.
- Operates construction equipment, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools.
- Moves or carries parts, materials, and equipment.
- Dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools.
- Files, trims, saws, buffs, drills, and deburrs parts, using hand tools and power tools.
- May assist the Field Technicians in performing some of the duties that require multiple technicians.
- Clamps pipe in position, and welds joints to assemble products
Education/Experience:- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of related experience
- Construction equipment experience, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools.
- Related experience in a field operations environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
