Job Title: Senior Reports Analyst
Status: Full-Time
Reports to: Sr. Director – Service Delivery
Location: Orlando, Florida
Position Summary:
Senior reporting analyst is responsible for establishing complex reporting with an understanding of current business metrics and processes that will help drive critical business decisions by analyzing metrics and providing improvement recommendations. In addition, this position will require the creation of new reports from existing systems preferably through automation and/or scripting techniques.
This role will report to an Executive leader but will support many business units.
Essential Job Functions:- Support internally driven reporting/analytic requests and automate wherever possible
- Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends
- Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers
- Ability to present in graphical and matrix formats with trend analysis and root cause recommendations
- Support various departments, including marketing and sales, in reaching their goals through analysis
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- One to three years of experience as a financial or business analyst
- Experience with API creation, object-oriented programming, and other data analysis programs
- Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
- Ability to use SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
- Ability to look at and decipher macro and micro trends that could impact results
- General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow
Education and Experience:
As a reporting analyst, you must have a bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems or a related field. You should also have advanced skills in SQL and Microsoft Excel, among other software programs. However, no formal certification is required for these. In addition to technical skills, reporting analysts must have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time well. The ability to effectively communicate the results of your analysis is critical.
