Job Summary:
 This position is responsible for coordinating and performing maintenance duties in and around the community grounds. Responsible for assisting with maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the residents, guests, and team members. The supervisor should have a solid knowledge of craft areas including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting, be detailed oriented and keep up with scheduled maintenance/deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintaining the mechanical systems throughout the buildings, making sure all equipment is operational and in good working condition, including making necessary repairs when needed, or ensuring that outside contractors make the repairs.
  • Completes work orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintains/preforms scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment in the buildings.
  • Keeping accurate records of preventive maintenance and of all mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Responding in a timely and courteous manner when staff members, residents or residents’ families have a maintenance request or concern.
  • Preparing apartments for new admissions.
  • Coordination/completion of painting and refurbishing projects.
  • Helping residents move into or out of their residence.
  • Assuring compliance with fire and safety and applicable assisted living regulations.
  • Maintaining all floors throughout the buildings, as well as general upkeep of the buildings.
  • Assists with supervision and housekeeping functions as needed.
  • Assisting housekeeping with cleaning or extraction or trash pick-up as needed.
  • Maintaining the emergency call system.
  • Being on call for building emergencies.
  • Functions in the role during the absence of the Facilities Director.
  • Driving the company vehicles as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Director.
