Apogee Consulting Group, founded in 1999, is an SDVOSB (Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business) Engineering and Architecture Design Firm headquartered in Cary, NC with 9 offices located across the U.S. We are dedicated to serving our clients by delivering innovative solutions within budget, scope, and schedule. We have grown from a single discipline electrical engineering firm to a multi-discipline firm offering mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design, architecture, interior design, healthcare planning, fire protection, commissioning, RCDD, and project management services.
 
We are seeking a Project Architect who has experience in preparing project designs and plans that integrates engineering elements into a unified design for the client's review and approval.
 
Our Project Architects have a role in mentoring and directing the activities of designers with a focus on quality,  participating in review meetings with clients, and documenting existing conditions.  In addition, they may participate in meetings with clients in business development situations.
 
The successful candidate has 13-15 years of experience as a licensed professional and/or demonstrated ability in the architectural design of healthcare (or willing to learn), medical office building, commercial, municipal, federal, or state.  State Architectural license. NCARB Certification, and LEED or other certification (preferred).

Computer skills: Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite.
 
Educational Requirements: Five-year Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
 
Available to travel up to 35% depending on the project. 

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
