Description

Working in concert with the appropriate internal and external resources, the Inside Sales Engineer will primarily focus on being a technical expert across all offerings within SYNEO’s Medical Machine Division.  This position is required to perform Sample Material Evaluations, Inspections, Data Collection, and Provision of Concise Feedback including, but not limited to recommendations for Machines, Application specific tooling and options, and Contract Services.  This critical role additionally assists with other inter-office functions required to support the daily Sales and Customer Service activities vital to SYNEO’s overall success and customer satisfaction.  

JOB DUTIES

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Responds to initial leads and enquiries direct to the business to determine level of customer need
  2. Coordinates and engages with the Regional Sales team as needed to nurture leads
  3. Acts as the internal liaison for solution quoting:
    1. Works with autonomy to provide the regional sales team with “off-the-shelf” quoting
    2. As needed may work directly with the customer on configurations for “off-the-shelf" quotes
    3. Provides key coordination on custom quotes interfacing with Regional Sales, Site Engineering and the Customer to collate information and develop the custom solutions.  Prepares the quotes and supporting documents accordingly
  4. Works as a technical resource to support Regional Sales and Customer inquiries
  5. Coordinates and leads feasibility and sampling studies for customers,  ensures results and feedback is presented in a professional manner
  6. Manages the internal quoting process, tracking and ensuring timely completion of tasks by Sales Engineering and applications engineering
  7. Works as an escalation point for quote follow up
  8. Provide Technical Support to Colleagues and Customers
  9. Completes sample process as needed based on Applications Engineering capacity
  10. Manages completion of samples and provides prioritization to Applications Engineering team
  11. Communicate via phone, email, and video conferencing tools
  12. Participate in machine and/or application specific tooling solution concept, quote, design, and design review activities
  13. Assist with Trade Show organization, planning, preparation, and shipments
  14. Generate Quotes for new standard part numbers
  15. Actively pursue and sell machine service contracts
  16. Support Inter-facility hardware transfers (ITT’s) and RMA’s
  17. Perform all other duties as needed to assist the company in attaining its objectives
