Description
At MMT - Glebar, our objective is to develop excellence in automation, machine tool design, material handling, and custom tooling. This position is responsible for the inspection and testing of manufacturing processes and products to ensure the product quality.  In support of the production and supply chain team, the quality assurance technician will work with a variety of inspection and test equipment and document inspection procedures to ensure and maintain product quality and records traceability. The quality assurance technician will also assist to appropriately identify nonconforming products and remove nonconformance's from the production flow until such product can be dispositioned. Cross-functional collaboration with the engineering and production and supply chain team is required 
Overview 
  • Programming and operation of CMM for in house and supplier manufactured products  
  • Experience in quality assurance / quality control role in precision manufacturing environment or equivalent  
  • Deep knowledge of quality lab inspection equipment such as optical comparator, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, bore gages etc. 
  • Strong ability to work with minimum to no supervision 
  • Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills 
  • Basic shop math 
  • Ability to follow verbal work instructions and adhere to written procedures 
  • Cross-train co-workers as needed 
Essential duties and responsibilities 
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written 
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with team members from different departments 
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload based on product due dates 
  • Experience in precision manufacturing setting 
Requirements 
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent 
  • 5 years' experience with inspecting precision manufactured parts and quality procedures 
  • Microsoft Excel, Word 
  • Strong Computer Skills 
  • Knowledge of milling, turning, grinding, EDM, and precision manufacturing processes 
Physical demands and abilities 
  • Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions 
  • Regularly lift 30-50 pounds 
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks 
  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately 
  • Must be willing to work on their feet for the majority of the shift 
  • Follow company procedures and directives.
