Purpose: 
The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight and supervision of Nursing, Lab, Imaging and Radiation areas for all divisions/ locations. This position is responsible for ensuring that staff is efficient, professional and providing exceptional patient service.  Ensures daily functions are properly staffed to accommodate patient flow and that operations run smoothly throughout the day.  Trains and develops employees to achieve the goals and objectives of the functional areas.  The position is responsible to ensure policies and procedures for areas of responsibility are adhered to, monitors performance of staff, and resolves patient care and departmental issues. Duties and assignments may vary at the discretion of management.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions (other duties as assigned):
  • Manage, Implements and maintain workflow processes of staff and patients in the clinic to improve patient experience.  Works with Operations Director on clinic workflow issues and staffing opportunities.
  • Ensures that staff consistently interact with patients, clients, and staff in a manner that reflects favorably on the organization and promotes teamwork.  Resolves patient care and departmental issues involving staff in areas of responsibility, utilizing tact and diplomacy.         
  • Maintains policies and procedures for areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance and consistent application.  Assist practice in achieving set goals.
  • Ensures compliance with professional practice standards and regulations applicable to the Practice.
  • Improves best practices to meet MIPS and OCF performance data.          
  • Monitors day-to-day staffing requirements for departments and adjusts staffing as needed.  Addresses fluctuating workloads based upon patient flow and physician schedules.  Assist with hiring process for potential candidates for assigned area.
  • Fiscally responsible for department ensuring the department(s) run in a financially responsible manner, being cost effective, wise and efficient with use of staff payroll hours (including overtime and meal penalties), equipment and resources to support a healthy, stable operations.  Coordinate with billing and finance department to achieve goals and realize efficiencies.
  • Works with leadership to purchase new equipment and manages installation project.  Will assist in establishing new equipment or new lines of business in departments, i.e. CT, , x-ray, lab equipment, etc.




Work/Travel Expectations
  • Travel is required for this position, visiting other division/locations monthly. 
  • New site setup- visit future locations to assist in establishing new department.  Tasks include interviewing/selecting department employees, training, and mentoring staff.
  • Host team meetings with various teams.

Experience, Qualifications/Education:
 
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing or other Healthcare Field required.
  • Minimum 5 years management experience, preferably in a large healthcare environment.
  • Familiar with MIPS/OCF reporting  desired
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Knowledge of computer/telephony support, preferably in a health care environment
  • Strong customer service background, preferably in health care environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Competence with computer processing functions and other standard office equipment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to calmly and professionally resolve customer issues with diplomacy and tact
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills

Working Conditions:
 
  • This position functions primarily indoors in a medical / business environment. Employee may be subject to blood borne pathogens, radiation, bio waste and other medically-related factors, with exposure to moderate noise levels.
  • Visual acuity to read and compute screen and paper documents; close and distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception, ability to adjust focus; hearing acuity to converse with staff and customers; ability to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and lift and move 25 pounds on a regular basis; ability to sit for hours at a time. Employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels, interruptions, and occasionally asked to work evening and weekends as needed.
