Project Controls Lead
Direct Position with CDI Engineering
Located in SW Houston 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing, analyzing and reviewing Engineering Cost Estimates, Engineering Cost Reports, Engineering Procurement and Construction Schedules, Engineering Cashflow, Change Management, Earned Value, Staffing and Progress Curves.
Recognizing trends and identifying solutions in engineering cost forecast, staffing, progress, productivity, schedule and change management.
Reporting to internal and external customers, including Project Management, Operations Management and Engineering Leads on project status and projected outcome.
Coordinating with engineering leads and project management to solicit and assemble the necessary information to assemble project controls deliverables/reports and analysis.

Requirements:
A high school diploma and a Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Engineering Cost and Scheduling in a chemicals or refining environment or an Engineering, Construction Management or similar Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Engineering Cost and Scheduling in a chemicals or refining environment 

Qualifications & Skills:
Must be proficient with the use of: Excel, Word and Primavera P6
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision.
Ability to review data for accuracy and compliance.
Ability to perform work accurately in a detail oriented environment.
Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondences, and other written materials.
Ability to communicate effectively with engineering leads, project managers and upper management on project reporting (including Earned Value, Productivity, etc.).
Must be a problem solver that can resolve issues with minimal direction.
Proficient CPM scheduling methodology
Ability to perform critical path analysis
Ability to perform total float analysis
