The ideal hire will have the ability to confidentially and accurately administer weekly payroll for their growing company. Responsibilities as a Payroll Professional include:
  • Processes weekly payroll and generates reports verifying accuracy of payroll entry. Audits time and attendance in the time keeping system.
  • Inputs all time worked, commissions, bonuses, and special pay requests, as well as deductions from pay. Makes required changes to associate information and posts to the payroll system.
  • Audits payroll to ensure changes were made and payroll is accurate before it is finalized.
  • Coordinates with associates, department managers, Human Resources, and the Finance team to resolve payroll-related issues as they arise.
  • Calculates pay changes. Maintains yearly calendar indicating scheduled pay dates, and quarterly payroll adjustment dates.
  • Runs weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearend payroll reports. Maintains all state setup for withholding and unemployment accounts.
  • Maintains and updates all PTO reports.
  • Administers associate profile updates, such as; changes in personal information, tax withholdings, direct deposits, pay and position changes. Maintains, administers, and tracks all payroll garnishments.
  • Completes verification of employment requests. Reports third party sick pay. Training of new time card approvers.
  • Manages yearend payroll functions. Participates in yearly audits.
  • Provides timely responses to associates with payroll related questions.
  • Process off-cycle paychecks as necessary. 
The Ideal Candidate will…….
  • Have 3-5 years related experience and/or training in Payroll.
  • The ability to uphold payroll confidentiality.
  • Strong computer experience is required, knowledge of Ultimate Software (Ulti Pro) is a plus.
  • Exceptional Excel knowledge for extensive creation and usage of spreadsheets and formulas.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Payroll field.
  • Excellent communications skills are a must. Excellent accuracy and ability to problem solve.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize.
