SUMMARY
At MMT - Interface Catheter Solutions, our objective is to develop excellence in automation, machine design, material handling, and custom tooling. Each position contributes to the success of the company through accountability, responsiveness, and a solutions-oriented mindset. MMT -  Interface Catheter Solutions is in an expansion mode and is looking for an technical service person to support custom manufactured machinery. This person will report to the Technical Service Manager and will have growth potential. The industries serviced include Tier 1 and Tier 2 Medical Devices in this high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Primary responsibilities:
Serves customers by troubleshooting, testing, installing, training, and servicing high precision mechanical systems. Supports customer production processes.
This person will be responsible for a variety of key customer functions including meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment, maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned. This is a key customer-facing role, and a bit of a “road warrior” with more than half of their time spent on the road, working with our customers. The person will set up, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of machines and/or equipment on customer site in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. They will carefully read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. The Field Service Technician will also adjust and operate certain types of equipment to complete assigned tasks safely and, in a timely fashion, identify, analyze, and repair product failures, incomplete orders, and replace parts as needed. The ideal candidate will provide support to questions on questions and product features and provide some level of customer training.


Duties:
• Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment.
• Technical writing- collect and interpret technical data or information and coordinates layout for publication. Create and publish technical documentations and manuals.
• Process development- apply standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes.
• Develop and optimize continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and goals of the customer’s organization.
• Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
• Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
• Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
• Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
• Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues.
• Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales.
• Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area.
• The ability to lift and carry a toolbox that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Adhering to current regulatory requirements to include, but not limited to, HIPPA, OSHA and FDA.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
• Extended periods of computer usage.
• Significant overnight travel required (up to 60%) required, some international may be required as well
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in technical services
  • CNC or Machine Controls experience preferred
