About the Position:

National Grid Renewable’s New Business Strategy seeks a summer 2023 Market Analyst Intern. This role will expand students' current technical knowledge and introduce them to the corporate environment. In addition, it will challenge their communication skills and grow their ability to perform well in a team setting. The intern's duties will impact the firm, and the student will present their experience to the leadership staff at the end of the summer. This individual will learn fast in a changing and growing company and take away “real-world experience” and a better understanding of the renewable energy industry.

What You'll Do:

Renewable energy market research on new areas of growth specifically due to the new Infrastructure Reduction Act (IRA) and the impact this new Law will have on New Business Opportunities in the Renewable Energy Markets of Wind, Solar, Battery Storage, and Hydrogen.
 
  • Help identify and support new Business Opportunities in the Renewable Energy Market
  • Collaborate with internal departments and experts to evaluate New Business Plans and Opportunities
  • Assist in the development and creation of New Business Plans and models
  • Write or develop sharable information from digging into market research to identify new opportunities for growth within the wind solar storage and hydrogen business
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s student in business, engineering, finance, economics, or other relevant areas of study
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and other business intelligence tools (Excel and PowerPoint a must)
  • Strong interest in startup new businesses and new companies
  • Strong communication skills with time management capabilities who is organized and has a willingness to learn
  • Self-starter in a remote or in-person environment
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and have a positive attitude
